Below, you’ll find more detailed information about my areas of focus and training background

I am a bilingual clinician who offers psychotherapy both in English and Turkish. I was trained at Yale Child Study Center and am currently an affiliated faculty supporting the training programs and research focusing on Youth Suicide Prevention.

I had my Master of Science in Social Work from Columbia University School of Social Work, graduating from the Advanced Clinical Practice Track with a specialization in Family, Youth, and Children’s Services.

I completed my post-graduate fellowship at Yale Child Study Center, where I specialized in trauma-focused, developmentally grounded, and culturally responsive care. As part of the trauma track at Yale Child Study Center- home to a National Child Traumatic Stress Network (NCTSN) Category II Center- I received specialized training in evidence-based modalities including Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) and the Child and Family Traumatic Stress Intervention (CFTSI). During my fellowship at the Yale Center for Traumatic Stress and Recovery, I also participated in the Child Development-Community Policing (CD-CP) Program, a national model for police-mental health collaboration. In this role, I worked alongside the New Haven Police Department, providing acute response, consultation, and care coordination following incidents of community violence and trauma.

Prior to my fellowship, I completed clinical internships in hospice focusing of end-of-life care and the Emergency Department in rural Montana, providing care to individuals without access to quality care.

In addition to trauma specialization, I am trained in pediatric exposure and response prevention (ERP) for obsessive-compulsive and related disorders through the Behavior Therapy Training Institute (BTTI).
